A multimeter is a measuring instrument that can measure multiple electrical properties. A typical multimeter can measure voltage, resistance, and current. Engineering and vocational students need to learn how to use a multimeter.
The following video shows how multimeter can be used in VR training.
To add multimeter support in VR experience as shown in the video you to do the following
- Define variables that are used to store values of voltage, resistance, and current
- Link each of those variables with a variable writer
Creating variables and linking them with variable writers is described in the following blog
Utilize grabbable sequence to adjust voltage value, the following tutorial should help you learn how to use grabbable sequence
Finally you should utilize object entered object even in the training builder with grabbable sequence to hide/show the variable writer you need, so when user rotates dial to voltage, the other two variable writers linked with current and resistance disappear, only voltage variable writer is visible
By doing so you should have a functional multimeter in your VR experience easily.
